The maximum numbers of patients at the Government health-care facilities in India are from the poor strata for which private hospitals and clinics are unaffordable. Lack of basic facilities like adequate beds, safe drinking water and seating arrangements are some of the things plaguing the Public health care facilities across the country.
Our work on Health and Sanitation has so far benefitted more than 5000 people by providing them with so far through more comfortable facilities at Govt. Hospitals and Health Centre. These include women in places like Nashik and Sonipat where we have renovated maternity wards and provided beds and storage spaces for the patients. We are also working with the Government Primary Health Centres to provide them with essential medical and non-medical equipment and basic facilities for patients (Water cooler cum purifier, beds and seating spaces).
